Welcome to My Gift Log! These Terms govern your use of our gift registry services. By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to these terms.

  1. Account Registration

    • You must be 16 years old (or have parental consent) to create a registry.

    • Provide accurate information (e.g., name, email, event details).

    • Keep your login credentials secure—you’re responsible for all activity under your account.

  2. Registry Rules

    • Content: Only add gifts appropriate for your event (no prohibited/illegal items).

    • Accuracy: Ensure product links/prices are up-to-date. We’re not liable for retailer errors.

    • Moderation: We may remove offensive, fraudulent, or irrelevant registries.

  3. Gifts & Purchases

    • Guest Purchases: Guests buy gifts through your registry via linked retailers. We’re not responsible for fulfillment, returns, or defects (handled by the retailer).

    • Cash Funds: If enabled, contributions may incur processing fees (e.g., PayPal, Stripe). We’re not responsible for cash fund management or disputes.

    • Shipping: If enabled, provide correct addresses—we’re not liable for delivery errors.

  4. Privacy

    • Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy (e.g., personal info, gift preferences). Guests’ personal info (e.g., gift purchasers) must not be misused.

  5. Fees & Payments:

    • We have a free tier but may charge for premium features. Other payments you receive from your guests (e.g cash fund processing or donations) are handled by third party partners (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We’re not responsible for the payment processing errors or fees.

    • Subscription Fees: If you choose a paid plan, you agree to pay the subscription fee as specified on our website. Fees might be billed monthly or annually, depending on your selection.

    • Payment Method: You must provide a valid payment method (e.g., credit card, PayPal) to subscribe to our paid features. By providing your payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees.

    • Subscription Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel it before the renewal date. You can manage your subscription and cancellation options in your account settings.

    • Price Changes: We may change our subscription fees or introduce new fees. We will notify you of any changes in advance, and you can choose to accept the new fees or cancel your subscription.

    • Taxes: You are responsible for any applicable taxes associated with your subscription.

    • Payment Disputes: If you believe there is an error in the billing, please contact us within 30 days of the charge. We will investigate and resolve any discrepancies.

    • Chargebacks: If you initiate a chargeback or dispute with your payment provider, we may suspend or terminate your account until the issue is resolved.

    • Refund Policy: We do not offer refunds for subscription fees unless required by law. If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to the paid features until the end of the billing cycle.

    • Free Trials: If we offer a free trial, you may be required to provide payment information. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the subscription fee.

  6. Intellectual Property:

    • All content, trademarks, and logos on our platform are owned by us or our licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute them without our written permission.

    • You own your registry content but grant us a license to display it on our platform.

  7. Limitation of Liability:

      We are not liable for:

    • any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.

    • Gifts not received/damaged (work with the retailer).

  8. Termination: We may suspend or terminate your account for fraud, inactivity or violations of these terms. You can delete your account at any time.

  9. Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where we operate.

  10. Changes to Terms: We may update these terms. We will notify you of significant changes, and your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
